About LOTUS |
LOcal Talent UnderScored is a platform for Northern and Southern California Artists to showcase their performance skills in Indian Classical Music.
The concerts are held on a specific date each month (usually the third Saturday of every month in the afternoon). The program has two segments. The first hour is dedicated to budding artists and the next two hours is for skilled talents who have the capability of giving solo concerts. Ever since it's inception in February 2000, LOTUS has promoted and encouraged numerous talented local artists.
Please note that LOTUS is a non-profit community organization of volunteers dedicated to showcasing local talented artistes based in California and (to a limited extent) from other states. All our events are free and so LOTUS does not provide any travel or airfare nor do we offer any type of fees or remuneration to artistes or accompanists for their performances.
