Rochan Yakkundi (Vocal)

Rochan Yakkundi has been learning Hindustani vocal music from his father Nachiketa Yakkundi for quite a few years. He has performed in several solo and group concerts in the Bay Area and in India. He is a freshman at Monta Vista High School.

Amit Rao (Tabla)

Amit Rao is a tabla student of Ravi Gutala. He is also a Hindustani vocal student of Nachiketa Yakkundi. Amit has performed under several auspices and for many different organisations in the Bay Area and beyond. He is a sophomore at Gunn High School.

Pooja Vedam (Harmonium)

Pooja Vedam is a harmonium student of Vivek Datar as well as a Hindustani vocal student of Nachiketa Yakkundi. Her interests lie in many different styles of music. Pooja is an eighth grader at Kennedy Middle School.

TN Arunagiri (Vocal)

Arunagiri was born in New Delhi into a family in which all genres of Indian music were appreciated. He also had the opportunity to intensively learn Sanskrit and Tamil, which encouraged him to take up Carnatic vocal lessons from Smt. Sita Sundararajan and learn Tiruppugazh from Shri. A. S. Raghavan in New Delhi. After a long musical sojourn, Arunagiri has resumed his Carnatic vocal training with Vidushi Savita Narasimhan.

Ajay Narasimha (Violin)

Ajay Narasimha was introduced to Carnatic music from a young age by his parents Smt. Rama and Sri. M.J. Narasimha. He is a student of Hemmige Sri. V. Srivatsan, the prime male disciple of Sangitha Kalanidhi Palghat Sri. K.V. Narayanasawamy. Ajay has had the fortune of accompanying reknowned musicians including Smt. M.S. Sheela, Sri D. Seshachary, Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan, Sri D. Balakrishna, and Papanasam Sri. Ashok Ramani as well as his own Guru around the US. He has also performed in many of the major music sabhas in Chennai and Bangalore. Ajay received his B.S. degree from Stanford University, and Ph.D. from UCLA. He resides in the Bay Area and works in biotech.

Srivatsan Tennathur (Mrudangam)

Srivatsan has been learning Mrudangam for the past five years under the able tutelage of Sri. Ramesh Srinivasan of the Sarvalaghu Percussion Art Centre. Recently, Srivatsan was privileged to perform his Arangetram playing for his vocal guru, legendary musician Dr. T V Gopalakrishnan. He learns veena from Smt. Anuradha Sundar.

Srivatsan has been learning carnatic music since age five and this strong musical training informs his Mrudangam playing style. He has been regularly accompanying various budding artists as well as senior students of music around the Bay Area.

Srivatsan is a sophomore at Cupertino High and is an athlete who plays a variety of sports.
