Vignesh Thyagarajan (Violin)

Vignesh Thyagarajan is a disciple of his uncle and Guru, Vidwan Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan, and has been learning violin and vocal from his Guru for 15 years. Vignesh has been performing widely across the USA and India as a solo violinist, as part of a violin duet with his sister Aparna Thyagarajan, and an accompanying artist, having accompanied for many well-known musicians from India. He has performed at various reputed sabhas in Chennai, including the Madras Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, Parthasarathi Swami Sabha, Maarga, and many more. Vignesh has performed widely throughout the USA as well, in various states like Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Illinois, Arkansas, New Jersey, Ohio (as part of Cleveland Aradhana Festival), Iowa, and Nebraska. Vignesh has had the privilege of accompanying his guru, Vidwan Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan, in multiple concerts as violin support and violin accompaniment. Vignesh had his solo violin arangetram in the year of 2014 accompanied by Vidwan Neyveli Sri R. Narayanan on the mridangam and Vidwan Adambakkam Sri K. Sankar on the ghatam.


Aparna Thyagarajan (Violin)

Aparna Thyagarajan is a disciple of Vidwan Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan, and has been under the tutelage of her guru for 14 years. She has regularly accompanied during the Chennai December Music Season since 2016 in leading music sabhas of Chennai. Aparna has accompanied in the Prestigious Music Academy for Spirit of Youth Concert series in 2022 and has been selected to accompany in the HCL concert series of the Academy..

Aparna has also performed widely throughout the USA, in various states like California, Nebraska, Ohio, and Texas for chamber concerts and festivals, notably the prestigious Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana festival held annually in Cleveland, Ohio, where she won first prize in competition for violin accompaniment and second prize for violin Aalapana. She has performed numerous solos throughout the US and provided violin accompaniment to many visiting artists from India. 

Aparna has had the privilege of accompanying her guru, Vidwan Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan, in multiple concerts as violin support along with other senior artists such as Vidwan Neyveli Sri R. Narayanan. 

Aparna had her solo violin arangetram in the year of 2019 accompanied by Vidwan Neyveli Sri R. Narayanan on the mridangam and Vidwan Adambakkam Sri K. Sankar on the ghatam.


Ajay Gopi (Mridangam)

Ajay is a disciple of his father Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan and Sri. Kallidaikurichi Sivakumar.

Ajay has been regularly performing in the Chennai December Season festival in many reputed sabhas for the past few years. Ajay has performed at the Madras Music Academy as part of the Spirit of Youth and HCL concert series. Ajay also  regularly performs in various organizations in the USA such as Hamsadhwani, Lotus, Maarga, SFRA and SIFA for local and visiting musicians. Ajay also learns Carnatic Vocal and he is currently learning from Sri. Kolkata Vijayaraghavan. Ajay is a graduate of UC Berkeley and is a software engineer in the Silicon Valley.


Adambakkam Sri K. Sankar (Ghatam)

Sri Sankar Kalyanasundaram hails from a family of musicians belonging to the lineage of flute maestro Brahmasri Saraba Sastrigal, and started his musical training from a very young age under the guidance of Kumbakonam Sri Rajappa Iyer. He has been a ghatam exponent in the field of Carnatic music for over 3 decades.

He has accompanied almost all the veterans and present day stars of Carnatic music, to name a few, Madurai T N. Seshagopalan, T.V Sankaranarayanan, T.R.Subramanyam, Neyveli Santhanagopalan, Hyderabad brothers, Sowmya, Nityasree etc. He accompanied Haridwaramangalam Dr. A.K. Palanivel on Akashwani Sangeetha Sammelan. In 2007, he jointly presented a workshop on intricacies of layam with Tabla Maestro Dr.Zakir Hussain at Stanford University.

He is an A grade artist of All India Radio and accompanies with all A Top artists regularly. He has performed and won acclaim in various countries such as India, USA, Canada, and UK. Sankar has students in various countries such as India, Canada and UK. They are taught through internet and phone and refresher classes during the visits to those places. He has cut several commercial records, released by recording institutions like Charsur, Rajalakshmi Audio, Sangeetha Audio, Music India, HMV etc.
