Anchita Ganesh (Vocal)

Anchita is an 8 th grader at Stratford Middle School. She was initiated into Carnatic vocal at the age of 7 and has been under the guidance for Smt. Kasthuri Shivakumar of IAIM for past 3 years. She has participated in several musical events and won prizes in Kriti Competitions. She enjoys listening to music, reading, cooking and travelling.


Urmika Balaji (Violin)

Urmika was initiated into carnatic violin at the age of 7 by her father Shri Mahesh Balaji. She was fortunate to become a student of Sangita Kalanidhi Padmasri A Kanyakumari from the summer of 2015 onwards. She has had vocal training from Shri Hari Devanath of Sri Paduka Academy. She is currently under the guidance of her uncle Shri.K.Chandrasekaran. Urmika is an 8th grader at Sunnyvale middle school. Besides music, Urmika loves to do acrylic painting and read books.


Avinash Ganesh (Mridangam)

Avinash is a sophomore at Purdue University pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering. He has been learning mridangam for the past 8 years under the training of Shri. Ravindrabharathy Sridharan of Nadhopasana Academy of Fine Arts. He has participated in music events and won prizes in percussion competitions. His interests include listening to music and playing basketball.

Aparna Thyagarajan (Vocal)

Aparna Started learning music at the age 5 from her mother Smt. Rama Thyagarajan, and Continued learning with her uncle Vidwan Delhi. Sri.P.Sunderrajan for vocal and Violin for the last 10 years. She has performed in Chennai December Music Festival for the past 5 years in various leading sabhas..

Aparna has performed widely across the USA, in various chamber concerts and festivals, and the prestigious Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana festival held annually in Cleveland, Ohio.

Aparna has also accompanied many artists as a violinist both in Chennai during December Music Season and various artists in USA.


Siddharth Ashokkumar (Violin)

Siddharth Ashokkumar initially began his violin training from Sri Vittal Ramamurthy and Sri Srinivasa Murthy of Chennai. Siddharth now seeks additional violin training from Sri Lalgudi G.J.R. Krishnan. Having performed for over 12 years, Siddharth has accompanied young talent in North America, traveling artists from India as well as rising artists in the Chennai Music season. Aside from concerts, Siddharth has also played for a number of dance performances and thematic/lecture demonstration concerts. Siddharth Ashokkumar lives in the Bay Area and currently works at Google in Sunnyvale


Ajay Gopi (Mridangam)

Ajay has been learning mridangam for the past 10 years from his father Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan (Disciple of late Sri. Kumbakonam Narayananswamy). He also receives additional training from Sri. Kallidaikurichi Sivakumar (Disciple of Late Sri. Palghat Raghu). He has performed in many prestigious Sabhas in Chennai such as Krishna Gana Sabha, Indian Fine Arts, Naradha Gana Sabha, Brahma Gana Sabha, Rasika Ranjani Sabha, etc. during the December music season. Ajay has won 1st prize in many competitions at regional, national and international levels. He accompanies various senior and junior artists on regular basis on live as well as recorded events. Ajay is a junior at the University of California, Berkeley.
