Yalini Thillaikumaran (Vocal)

Yalini Thillaikumaran is a 7th grader at Chaboya Middle School. Yalini has been learning music from Shri Ashok Subramaniam for 5 years. She is also learning bharatnatyam from Smt. Suganda Iyer for 6 years. Yalini also loves western music, art, drama, and reading books. She has acted in many plays in prominent singing roles. Yalini has sung in many events and sung in a concert in Chennai.

Sasidhar Madugula (Violin)

Sasidhar Madugula started his Carnatic violin training at the age of 8 under Sri Dinesh Narayan. He has been undergoing advanced training for the past 5 years from Kalaimamani Sri Vittal Ramamurthy of Chennai, a disciple of Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman. He has won recognition from several organizations, including the Chicago Thyagaraja Utsavam, the Sivan Fine Arts Academy, SAPNA, and Bharati Theertha. He regularly gives solo concerts, and accompanies many local and leading artists. Sasidhar is currently studying medicine at Stanford University.

Akshay Venkatesan (Mrudangam)

Akshay Venkatesan started learning mridangam at Sarvalghu Percussion Art Center, San Jose, CA at the age of 5 under the able guidance of `Laya Kala Ratna’ Sri Ramesh Srinivasan, a leading disciple of Mridangam Maestro Late Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri Vellore G. Ramabhadran.

Akshay has accompanied on Mridangam in April 2011 Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana `Sustaining Sampradaya Concert’ and Carnatic Symphony in 2013 and 2014, Papanasam Sivan and CCC concert in 2014. He also accompanied Carnatic Idol group winners’ concert in Cleveland in 2014. Akshay has been accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists in Bay area for the last four years.

Akshay also learns vocal Carnatic music and is a student of Sri Paduka Academy. His other activities include playing tennis and basketball as well as saxophone in his school band. He is in 7th grade at Chaboya middle school.

Sahiti Shankar (Vocal)

Sahiti is a 10th grader in Montavista High school in Cupertino. Sahiti has a keen interest in all forms of music, and considers herself a very deliberate and committed singer. She has been learning vocal carnatic music from the Sri Paduka academy, under the tutelage of Sri Hari Devanath. Sahiti has participated in several competitions and won prizes - She was recently a first prize winner in both the solo and duo category in the singing competitions held by Kala Aradhana. Besides singing Carnatic music, Sahiti sings contemporary music and plays the piano and keyboard.. She has a keen interest in dance as well, and learns Kathak from Smt Sangeeta Nandy.

Amit Ranganathan (Mridangam)

Amit Ranganathan is a disciple of Sri. Ravindrabharathi Sridharan. He performed his mridangam arangetram accompanying Sri. Neyveli Santanagopalan Sir to a full length concert and was awarded the title "Nadha Bindu". Amit has been accompanying students of various Bay Area and Sacramento schools and has played under the auspices of several organizations. He has also participated in Chennai december season and NCYCAC in North Carolina. Amit has won many awards at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana Festival Competition including first place in the senior mridangam category. In addition to learning mridangam, Amit has learnt Carnatic vocal music from Smt. Jayashree Varadarajan for nine years. Amit, a Yuvakendra Kendra student and a Bala Vihar teacher aide at Chinmaya Mission San Jose is a senior at Cupertino High School.

Bhavani Venkateswaran (Vocal)

Bhavani Venkateswaran has been learning carnatic music from gurus Sri .Hari Devanath and Sri.Vivek Sundararaman of Sri Paduka Academy for the past four years. She has learnt carnatic music for nearly 10 years . Her initial training was with Smt. Kala Vasudevan in Atlanta and has also learnt from Smt. Anu Suresh and Manasa Suresh after moving to the Bay area. She has won prizes in music competitons held in Atlanta, Papanasam Sivan competiton, and OSAAT . She is a senior at Mission San Jose High, Fremont.

Swaminathan Venkateswaran has been learning Mrudangam for the past 10 years. He has learned from Sri.Sriram Brahmanandam for 4 years and had his initial training from Sri. Suresh Kothandaraman in Atlanta. He has won in the Cleveland Aradhana competition and has accompanied students and senior disciples from various music schools in Bay Area and in Atlanta. He is a junior at Mission San Jose High school, Fremont.
