Ashwat Subbaraman (Vocal)

Ashwat started learning Carnatic vocal from Smt. Rama Thyagarajan. Currently he is learning from Sri. A. S. Murali, a discipline of Padma Bushan Sri. P.S. Narayanaswami. He has performed in Chennai and locally. He has won awards at Papanasam Sivan festival and OSAAT.

Ashwat also learns mrudangam from Sri. Ravindra Bharathy. He is a 10th grader from Cupertino High School. He plays tennis for his school. He is also an avid bird watcher and volunteers for the National Audubon Society. He is also the school's varsity debate team.

Aditya Satyadeep (Violin)

Aditya is a freshman at Archbishop Mitty High School. He has been learning carnatic violin for the past 6 years. Aditya had his initial training under the guidance of Dr.Rajalakshmi Srinivasan and is currently under the tutelage of Smt.Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi, daughter and disciple of the Violin maestro Shri Lalgudi G. Jayaraman. Aditya regularly accompanies young carnatic music students in the bay area. He has also had the privilege to perform at the Bayarea Marghazhi Utsavam, Chicago Thyagaraja Utsavam, and as part of the 2014 Cleveland Sustaining Sampradya group . Aditya has received prizes in carnatic violin competitions organized by the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana and Kala Aradhana. During his free time, Aditya enjoys listening to carnatic music, reading and playing tennis and basketball.

Akshay Bharadwaj (Mrudangam)

Akshay Bharadwaj has been learning mridangam for the past 8 years, and is currently a disciple of Ravindra Bharathy Sridharan, founder and director of Nadhopasana Academy of Fine Arts in Cupertino, CA. He has been regularly accompanying local Bay Area music schools and solo artists for the past 2 1/2 years. He has participated in competitions such as the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana and has been a prize winner. In addition, he also learns Carnatic vocal music from Subiksha Kothandaraman.

His hobbies include playing basketball and badminton, reading, and spending time with friends.

Sashwat Mahalingam (Vocal)

Sashwat is a student of Sri Paduka Academy under the able guidance of Sri. Hari Devanath & Sri. Vivek Sundararaman. He had his initial training under Smt. Hema Sista of Sangithalaya School of Music. Sashwat is currently a freshman at Evergreen High School, San Jose. He has participated in competitions such as Cleveland Aradhana and Papanasam Sivan and won prizes. Apart from being an avid music fan, he enjoys writing articles, programming/coding and is also an active participant in his school's Speech and Debate Club. Sashwat has won the “Young Author” award several times at the district level. He also recently started a website for Bay Area Music which includes Kutcheri reviews among other things. Sashwat is also an avid table tennis player.

Hariharan Sundarraman (Mrudangam)

Hariharan Sundarraman is a junior at Evergreen Valley High school and he is a disciple of Mridangam Vidwan Sri. Patri Satishkumar. He was recognized by the All India Radio, Chennai as a “B Grade” Mridangam artist at the age of 14. Hariharan had his debut concert at the age of eleven with Sri.M.K.Sankaran Nambudiri. He has played Mridangam and Kanjira accompaniments for senior musicians like Sri.Maharajapuram Srinivasan, Sri.M.K.Sankaran Nambudiri, Madurai Sri.G.S.Mani, Sri.T.S.Krishnamurthy, Sri.Kavalam Sreekumar, Sri.Ramakrishnanmurthy, Smt.Kiranavali, Smt.Aparna Balaji to name a few. Hariharan had the opportunity to perform with his Guru in a special Laya Vinyasam concert titled "OM" at the Shiva Vishnu Temple in Maryland. He was featured during the 2014 & 2015 Margazhi music festival in Chennai at prestigious Sabhas like Krishna Gana Sabha, Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha and Rasika Ranjani Sabha. Hariharan has won prizes for Mridangam and Kanjira in competitions at Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana, CMANA and Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation. He is also trained in Rock, Heavy Metal, Jazz and Latin percussion and plays drums in Jazz concerts and Marching Bands.

Varnika Kalilash (Vocal)

Varnika is an 8th grader at Rincon Valley Middle School, Santa Rosa. She was initiated into Carnatic vocal music by Smt. Akila Iyer and was a student of Sri Paduka Academy for 3 years. She is currently under the guidance of Smt. Kasthuri Shivakumar of IAIM. She is also learning Carnatic violin from Sri. Mahesh Balaji for the past 3 years. She has participated in Cleveland Aradhana, Kala Aradhana, OSAAT, Papanasam Sivan competitions and has won prizes. Her other interests include baking, reading books and enjoys being part of musical productions at her school.

Shreyas Srinivasan (Violin)

Shreyas is a freshman at Dublin High. He started learning violin from Smt. Geetha Seshadri and currently a disciple of Kalaimamani Dr. Narmadha, daughter and disciple of late Padma Bhushan Sangita Kalanidhi M.S.Gopalakrishnan.

Shrikanth Shivakumar (Mrudangam)

Shrikanth is a 10th grader at American High School, Fremont. He has been learning mridangam for the past six years from Sri. Vinod Seetharaman. He also learns Carnatic vocal music from Sri. Neyveli Santhanagoplan. Shrikanth’s passion for music has motivated him in the art of accompanying and he has started providing accompaniment for small concerts locally. He loves to read and cook.
