Aparna Thyagarajan (Violin)

Aparna Thyagarajan started showing interest in Carnatic music from a very young age. She had her initial training in Carnatic vocal music from her mother Smt. Rama Thyagarajan, and started learning the violin at the age of 10. She is currently under the guidance of her uncle Vidwan Sri Delhi P. Sunderrajan for both vocal and violin. Aparna has provided violin accompaniment for many Bay Area schools, competitions, and individual artists. She has won first prize in multiple categories for the violin competition held by the prestigious Cleveland Aradhana Festival. She has also given solo violin duets with her brother Vignesh Thyagarajan. Aparna has performed vocal music for various organizations throughout the Bay Area and has performed in Chennai as a part of the December Music Season. Aparna is currently a Senior at Cupertino High School in Cupertino, CA.

Shrikrishna Shivakumar (Mrudangam)

Shrikrishna Shivakumar is a rising senior at American High school Fremont. He is learning Mridangam from Shri Vinod Seetharaman from Detroit Michigan for the past 7 years. He also learns music from the Legendary musician Shri Neyveli Santhanagopalan. His passion in music has motivated him in the art of accompaniment. He loves to teach and he is interested in technology.

Viswas Mani (Vocal)

He has been learning carnatic vocal from from the age of 6. For the last 5 years he is learning from Gurus Hari Devanath and Vivek Sundararaman of Shri Paduka Academy.

His love for music has increased multi fold after joining Sri Paduka Academy. He is beginning to appreciate the nuances of raga bhavams. Carnatic music is not just an hobby anymore for Vishwas for he is starting to take it seriously and to be a life long student of this art form. He has performed in a few concerts in the Bay Area.

His other interests are snowboarding, skiing, basketball and swimming.

Srishiva Manikantan (Violin)

Srishiva is a sophomore in Piedmont Hills High School. He learns violin from Sri. Saravanapriyan Sriraman. He also learns vocal from Sri Ajay Namboodiri.

He also learns piano and has given many recitals; he has completed level 7 of ABRSM exams.

He plays tennis and meddles with electronic gadgets during his free time.

Rahul Swaminathan (Mrudangam)

Rahul is a junior from American high school, Fremont. Rahul has been learning mridangam from Shri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan for over 5 years and is regular accompaniment at CCC as well as other local events. Rahul had his mridangam arangetram in Sep 2016, accompanying Vidwan Kolkata Sri.K.Vijayaraghavan.

Rahul has also been learning carnatic music from Shri. Hari Devanath & Shri. Vivek Sundararaman (Sri Paduka Academy) for over 6 years. Rahul had his maiden vocal concert at LOTUS in Feb 2016. He is now excited to start accompanying at LOTUS.

In addition to Carnatic music, Rahul is passionate about playing piano, swimming and badminton.

Saranya Rajagopalan (Veena)

Saranya Rajagopalan is a Junior at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon. She has been learning veena from Sri. Srikanth Chary for the last 8 years. She has been learning Bharatanatyam from Smt. Katherine Kunhiraman and recently performed her Arangetram. Saranya has participated in several competitions including Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana, Papanasam Sivan, Kala Aradhana and OSAAT.

Avinash Anand (Mridangam)

Avinash, a 8th grader who is learning Mridangam for the past 7 years from Shri Ramesh Srinivasan, Director of Sarvalaghu Percussion Arts Center, San

Jose. With his Guru's blessings Avinash had his Mridangam Arangetram with Sri Chitavina Ravikiran on January 3rd 2016 in Chennai.

Avinash is also learning Vocal music from Sri. Vivek Sundararaman and Sri Hari Devnath of Sri Paduka Academy. He has participated and won prizes in Cleveland Aradhana and Bay area competitive events.

Apart from music, he plays badminton and enjoys reading books.
