Haindavi Veldanda (Vocal)

Haindavi is a carnatic vocal student of Smt. Sudha Dusi for the past 7 years. She has won many competetions like Osaat, Kalaradhana, Saptami, and Annamacharya Jayanthi. She has participated in several regional events as part of Raaga Sudha school of music.

In her spare time she enjoys arts,sports,swimming,and listen to various music forms including native american traditions.

Aparna (Violin)

Aparna started learning the violin from Vid. Kanchana Sriranjani when she was 4 and continues to learn from her first guru. Aparna began learning “manodharma” from guru Vid. Sandhya Srinath about 2 years ago. Aparna has accompanied many young musicians of the bay area. Aparna also plays the Western Violin.

Aparna is an 8th Grader in Chaboya Middle School, San Jose. Aparna has participated/won prizes in KalaAaradhana and other contests. Her school’s Philharmonic Strings team won the Gold Standard at the CMEA Competitions hosted by Disneyland during 2017. Aparna practices spoken Sanskrit. She is also an avid reader.

Achyut (Mrudangam)

Achyut is a disciple of Laya Kala Ratna Sri. Ramesh Srinivasan at Sarvalaghu Percussion Arts Center. He initiated his Mridangam training since the age of 4. Achyut has provided accompaniment support for artists in Bay Area as well as in India during December Music Season. Achyut also learns Carnatic Vocal from Padma Bhushan Sangitha Kalanidhi Sri. Madurai T.N.Seshagopalan and Veena from Vidushi Smt. Padmavathy Ananthagoplan, sister of Violin Maestro Sri. Lalgudi Jayaraman.

Shreyas Kaasyap (Guitar)

Shreyas is 14 years old and will be starting at Lynbrook High School this fall. He has a keen interest in carnatic music and has been learning the carnatic guitar for 2 years under the tutelage of his guru Shri. Guitar Prasanna. If not playing a tune on his guitar, Shreyas can be caught playing a game of chess, Rubiks cube or the classical piano.

Shreyas' guru Shri. Guitar Prasanna is a world renowned guitarist and plays with the likes of music maestros Ilayaraja and A.R Rahaman. Shri. Prasanna is a disciple of Shri. Tiruvarur Balasubramaniam and Sangeetha Kalanidhi Padmabhushan Smt. A. Kanyakumari. He completed his engineering from IIT Madras and graduated magna cum laude from the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

Anirudh Ramadurai (Vocal)

Anirudh Ramadurai is a student of Sri Paduka Academy and has been under the tutelage of his gurus, Sri.Hari Devanath and Sri.Vivek Sundararaman, since 2009. Over the years, Anirudh has enjoyed participating in several music events and has given short solo concerts at Carnatic Chamber Concerts, Nandalala Mission Youth Concert Series, SV LOTUS Junior Concert Series, Kamakshi Kitchen Concert Series, as well as at various local temples. He has won prizes at regional and national competitions such as the Papanasam Sivan Festival, Kala Aradhana, OSAAT, SAPTAMI Regionals, Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana, and SAPTAMI Nationals. Anirudh also learns to play the Veena under the guidance of Guru Sri.Srikanth Chary since 2011. Apart from being a student of Carnatic music, Anirudh is a Boy Scout, currently holding the rank of a Star Scout and is a rising freshman at Silver Creek High School, San Jose.

Ananya Devanath (Veena)

Ananya is a 10th grader at Evergreen Valley High School. She has been learning the Veena from Sri Srikanth Chary for the past 9 years. She also learns Carnatic vocal music from Sri Paduka Academy . She has won the first prize for Veena at the Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana for Junior Krithi, Alapana, Kalpanaswarams, and RTP categories. She enjoys participating in music events where she gets to share and learn. Her hobbies are reading, writing short stories and playing with her little brother.

Ajay Gopi (Mridangam)

Ajay Gopi has been learning mridangam since 5th grade from his father Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan (Disciple of late Sri. Kumbakonam Narayanaswamy). He also learns from Sri. Kallidaikurichi Sivakumar (Disciple of Late Sri. Palghat Raghu). He had his arangetram on July 2013 with Sri. Neyveli Santhanagopalan on the Vocals and Sri.Hemmige V. Srivatsan on the Violin. Ajay has participated in regional, national and international level competitions and has won many prizes. He has been performing during the Chennai December music season since 2013 and has performed in many venues such as Krishna Gana Sabha, Naradha Gana Sabha, Karthik Fine Arts, India Fine Arts, Maarga, Sivan Fine Arts, Neyveli Sishyakulam, etc. In the US, he accompanies various senior and junior artists on regular basis. Ajay is a rising junior at UC Berkeley.
