Anagha Balaji (Veena)

Anagha Balaji has learned veena from Guru Srikanth Chary for 10 years. She has won prizes at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana and the Papanasam Sivan Festival in California. She enjoys participating in local music events around the Bay Area. She will be an incoming freshman at UIUC studying computer science this fall.


Lalit Narayan Kovvuri (Mridangam)

Lalit Narayan Kovvuri is a 6th grader at Evergreen Elementary school. He is currently under the tutelage of Vidwan Sri. S. V. Ramani (Chennai).Over the past few years, he has participated in various programs in and around the Bay Area and has accompanied various schools and organizations including facebook and other online programs.He is currently pursuing Carnatic vocal and violin under the tutelage of Vidushi Smt. Anuradha Sridhar. Lalit accompanied Vidushi Smt. Vasudha Ravi for his mridangam Arangetram (debut concert) in the summer of 2019. Lalit has won several awards in various competitions over the past few years.


Smriti Swaminathan (Vocal)

Smriti is an 9th grader in Windemere Ranch Middle School. She is learning vocal from Smt. Kasthuri Shivakumar. She also learns veena from Sri. Srikanth Chary. Smriti has participated and won prizes at competitions such as Annamayya Jayanthi Utsav, Papanasam Sivan Competitions, and was a finalist in SaMaa Arts’ online competition 2020.

She has also performed at many fundraisers and other bay area events/concerts. She has given online concerts in Live4youa, SRFA and other events. Smriti also plays the flute for her school’s wind ensemble. Her other interests include cooking, biking, and playing with her younger brother.


Rishi Kodungallur (Mridangam)

Rishi Kodungallur, a rising 8th grader, is a disciple of Vid. Ravindrabharathy Sridharan of Nadhopasana Academy of Fine Arts, Cupertino, California. Rishi has been learning mridangam for the last 7 years.
