November 2022 Live concerts

We have two concerts this month to end the year 2022 including a Intermediate Vocal Concert by Hari Narayanan Srivatsan and Senior Flute Concert by Srivathsa Pasumarthi. Please attend in large numbers, encourage the artists and enjoy the concerts.

Hari Narayanan Srivatsan (Vocal)

Hari Narayanan Srivatsan is a disciple of his parents Smt. Subhapriya & Sri Hemmige V. Srivatsan, belonging to the Ariyakudi and KV Narayanaswamy parampara. Hari also learns Carnatic violin from his father Hemmige V. Srivatsan. Hari learns Jazz trumpet and is an avid tennis player. He is a 10th grader at Branham High school.

Keshavan Narayanan Srivatsan (Violin)

Keshavan Narayanan Srivatsan is a Carnatic vocalist and violinist, belonging to the Legendary Ariyakudi Ramanuja Iyengar & Palghat K.V. Narayanaswamy Lineage. He has been training in vocal music under his parents Smt. Subhapriya K. Srivatsan and Hemmige Sri V. Srivatsan since a very young age and continues to train on the violin with his father. Keshavan has also had the rare privilege of learning with illustrious musicians such as Vidushi Smt. Padma Narayanaswamy (his Parama-guru-pathni) and Vidushi Smt. Jayalakshmi Santhanam. Keshavan is an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California, studying Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.


Pranav Tirumalai (Mrdangam)

Pranav Tirumalai is a disciple of “Mrdanga kalA shirOmaNi” Sri. Trichur C. Narendran, one of the prime and early disciples of the legendary Mrdangam Maestro Padma Shri Palghat R. Raghu. Pranav had the blessing of learning vocal carnatic training under Sri.C. R. Vaidhyanathan. Pranav has been accompanying eminent BayArea artists. Pranav is an undergraduate student at U.C.Davis pursuing Biomedical Engineering.

Srivathsa Pasumarthi (Flute)

Srivathsa Pasumarthi is a seventh generation flautist in his family, his father Pasumarthi Venkataramana and grandfather Late Pasumarthi Viswanatha Rao being flautists and 5 generations of flautists and flute makers before that. Srivathsa was mostly self taught in the early years and later had his formal initial training from his father. He is currently undergoing advanced training from Sri.J.B.Sruthi Sagar from Chennai, who is adept in playing the instrument in a vocalized fashion. Following his guru's footsteps, Srivathsa believes in vocalizing flute playing and emphasizes on the importance of sahithya or lyrics. For over a decade, Srivathsa has given many solo performances and has accompanied several dance recitals in India and in the US. Srivathsa is also an All India Radio B-High graded mridangam artist and belongs to the prestigious school of Guru Karaikkudi Mani.

He is currently working as a research scientist for a healthcare startup in the bay area.

Vignesh Thyagarajan (Violin)

Vignesh Thyagarajan is a disciple of his uncle and Guru, Vidwan Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan, and has been learning violin and vocal from his Guru for 15 years. Vignesh has been performing widely across the USA and India as a solo violinist, as part of a violin duet with his sister Aparna Thyagarajan, and an accompanying artist, having accompanied many well-known musicians from India. He has performed at various reputed sabhas in Chennai, including the Madras Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, Parthasarathi Swami Sabha, Maarga, and many more. Vignesh has had the privilege of accompanying his guru, Vidwan Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan, in multiple concerts as violin support and violin accompaniment.

Gopal Ravindhran (Mridangam)

Gopal Ravindhran started learning mridangam at the age of 6 from Shri Ravindra Bharathy Sridharan. He is now currently learning from Vidwan Shri Neyveli R. Narayanan. Gopal has accompanied renowned vidwans like Sangeeta Kalanidhi Chitravina Ravikiran, Shri Sikkil Gurucharan, Vidwan Madurai GS Mani, Vidushi Sriranjani Santhanagopalan during their visits to the USA at various venues. Gopal has been participating in the Chennai Marghazhi Music festival in December for the last 10 years every year, having performed and continuing to perform at sabhas, temples, and other venues in and around Chennai. He has also had the honor of playing in the Madras Music Academy December Music Season 2018 as well as 2019, and has been invited again to perform in the upcoming December 2022 season.
