Anirudh Ramadurai (Vocal)

Anirudh Ramadurai has been a student of Sri Paduka Academy for over 6 years and is very grateful to Gurus, Sri.Hari Devanath and Sri.Vivek Sundararaman, for instilling the passion for Carnatic music in him. He learns to play the Veena from Guru, Sri. Srikanth Chary, which complements his vocal training. Apart from music, Anirudh enjoys the Sunday classes at Chinmaya Mission’s Bala Vihar, practicing Taekwondo martial arts and being a Boy Scout. Anirudh will attend 7th grade at Almaden Country School in the Fall.

Geeta Shankar (Veena)

Geeta Shankar is a rising Junior at Stanford Online High School. Born to a family of music connoisseurs, Geeta began learning Carnatic vocal lessons at an early age of 4 and veena lessons at 5. She was initiated into Carnatic vocal lessons by Smt. Nandini Ramamurthy and Sri.Hari Devanath. She continues to learn vocal lessons with Sri Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan since 2009. She is trained on Veena by Sri. Srikanth Chary.

Geeta took her first step to performing on stage at the age of 7 and she has performed regularly here in the USA and India during the Chennai festival. She performed her Senior Vocal Concert in June 2015 here at Lotus. She is the recipient of Indian Raga Fellowship 2014, Carnatic Music Junior Idol 2011, Carnatic Music Senior Idol 2014. She has won awards in several categories in vocal and veena, including the most prestigious Advanced Pallavi and Concert Competition at the Cleveland Aradhana and Chicago Thyagaraja Utsavam.

Vishal Setlur (Mrudangam)

Vishal Setlur, an 8th grader at Miller Middle school, has been learning mridangam for the past 7 years at Sarvalaghu Percussion Arts Center, under the guidance of `Laya Kala Ratna’ Sri. Ramesh Srinivasan, a leading disciple of Mridangam Maestro Late Sangeetha Kalanidhi Vellore Sri. G. Ramabhadran.

Vishal had his Mridangam arangetram accompanying Vidwan Neyveli Sri. R. Santhanagopalan (vocal), Vidwan Sri.R. Raghul (violin) and Vidwan Sri. S.V. Ramani (ghatam) in Bangalore, on June 28, 2015.

He has been providing Mridangam support for various music school programs around the bay area. He has also participated in Cleveland Aradhana the past three years. He has been learning Carnatic vocal music under the guidance of Smt. Jayashree Dasarathy. His hobbies include listening to music, basketball and football.

Keerthi Sundaramurthy (Vocal)

Keerthi sundaramurthy is a upcoming Junior at UC Berkeley pursuing psychology and cognitive science as her majors. Her guru is Shri Ajay namboodiri, disciple of Shri neyveli Santhanagopalan Gopalan. Keerthi also learns Carnatic violin from Dr. Saravanapriyan Sriraman, disciple of Shri Lalgudi GJR Krishnan. She regularly accompanies for vocal and dance concerts in and around the bay area. Apart from music, Keerthi likes playing tennis and hiking. She is also passionate about mental health advocacy and is involved in many groups and projects on and off campus.

Sasidhar Madugula (Violin)

Sasidhar Madugula started his Carnatic violin training at the age of 8 under Sri Dinesh Narayan. He has been undergoing advanced training for the past 9 years from Kalaimamani Sri Vittal Ramamurthy of Chennai, a disciple of Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman. He has won recognition from several organizations, including the Chicago Thyagaraja Utsavam, the Sivan Fine Arts Academy, SAPNA, and Bharati Theertha. He regularly gives solo concerts, and accompanies many local and leading artists. Sasidhar is currently studying medicine at Stanford University.

Srivatsan Tennathur (Mrudangam)

Srivatsan has been learning Mridangam from Sri Ramesh Srinivasan of the Sarvalaghu Percussion Art Center. He was privileged to perform his Arangetram playing for his vocal guru, Sangita Kalanidhi, Dr. T V Gopalakrishnan. Srivatsan's Mridangam playing style is greatly influenced by his strong vocal training. He thoroughly enjoys learning veena from Smt. Anuradha Sundar.

Srivatsan is a rising Senior at Cupertino High and is an athlete who plays Basketball for his school.
