Jishnujith Balaji (Vocal)

Jishnujith has been learning vocal from Smt. Akila Shankar and Kumari. Geeta Shankar at Geetanjali School of Music for nearly 8 years. He has also learned violin from Smt. Lakshmi Balasubramanian for about 3 years, and now learning from Sri. Abhishek Balakrishnan. He is currently an 8th grader at Thornton Junior High School. He loves swimming, basketball, reading books and playing chess.


Lalit Kovvuri (Mridangam)

Lalit has been learning Mridangam from Vidwan Sri S.V. Ramani. He is currently pursuing Carnatic vocal and violin under the tutelage of Vidushi Smt. Anuradha Sridhar. Lalit had his mridangam Arangetram in the summer of 2019. He is currently a 6th grader at Evergreen Elementary School. In his spare time, he loves to know more about cars and read books.

Akshara Sridhar (Vocal)

Akshara Sridhar is extremely privileged to learn Carnatic Vocal from Vidwan Sri. Ragavan Manian (disciple of Maestro PadmaVibhushan Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna). She is also learning Veena from Vidwan Sri. Srikanth Chary. Carnatic music is an all-consuming passion for this 7th grader at Centerville Jr High. Her favorite daily routine involves listening to the treasure trove of recordings of the yesteryear greats.

Akshara also enjoys participating in local & online music recitals, and has won prizes at several regional/ national competitions. Besides music, she loves to engage in creative video and written productions with her sister and cousins.


Umesh Gopi (Mridangam)

Umesh is a fun loving 9th grader at Irvington High School Fremont. He has been learning mridangam from his father Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan since age 6. He started accompanying from 2016.

Umesh has won first prize in mridangam competitions at Cleveland Aradhana and Papanasam Sivan Festivals. He also learns Carnatic Vocal from Sri Kolkata K. Vijayaragavan. Umesh likes playing Chess, Tennis, Basketball and Touch Football.
