Subha Mohan - Vocal

Subha Mohan started taking carnatic vocal lessons at the age of five, and has learned from various Bay Area instructors ever since. For the past five years she has been learning from Smt. Rama Thyagarajan and she has regularly participated in various events put on by Sathguru Vidyalaya, in addition to giving a solo house concert last November. Subha is currently a freshman at UC Berkeley and will graduate with a degree in Molecular Environmental Biology. She hopes to continue singing for the rest of her life.

Vignesh Thyagarajan - Violin

Vignesh Thyagarajan started learning carnatic vocal and violin at the age of 5 years with his mother Smt. Rama Thyagarajan. Vignesh is currently under the tutelage of Vidwan Shri.Delhi P.Sunderrajan.

Vignesh regularly accompanies students of Sathguru Vidyalaya on annual day functions and house concerts for the last 2 years. Vignesh gave a Solo Performance under the banner of Lotus the local organization in Bay area. Vignesh accompanied the Students of Neyveli Shri. Santanagopaln in the Impart 25 USA. Vignesh learns western violin through private lessons and he is in the Intermediate String Orchestra at California Youth Symphony (CYS).

Vignesh is a freshman at Cupertino High School, CA.

Varun Viswanath - Mridangam

Varun Viswanath has been learning Mridangam for 4+ years under Shri. Ramesh Srinivasan of Sarvalagu Percussion Art Center, San Jose.

He has represented his music school in the OSAAT competition, Taala Vadya program for Kannada Koota, and has accompanied

singers in SIFA Thyagaraja day and for various music school concerts in the Bay-area.

Varun enjoys expressing his creativity through his mridangam.

Varun is passionate about all forms of music and also plays western violin as part of SUSD Allegro Orchestra.

He is also interested in sports and plays tennis and baseball as all-star for Saratoga.

Varun is a fifth grader at Foothill Elementary School, Saratoga CA.
