Anirudh Ramakrishnan (Vocal)

Anirudh has been learning Carnatic vocal from Guru Smt. Kasthuri Shivakumar of IAIM for the past 12 years and completed his vocal arangetram in August 2025. He has performed in many events and competitions including CCC, Rasamanjari, Papanasam Sivan Competition and OSAAT. Anirudh also learns mridangam from Guru Shri Gopi Lakshminarayanan. He is a rising sophomore at the University of California, Irvine pursuing Biomedical Engineering.

Avanija Vangala (Violin)

Avanija is a rising senior at Stratford Preparatory School. She has been learning Carnatic Violin from her Guru Kalaimamani Padma Shankar (Student of Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman). She has won prizes in multiple competitions including BAKU Concert Slot, and Cleaveland Aradhana and regularly performs solos and accompaniment concerts around the Bay Area.

Kishore Lakshmanan (Mridangam)

Kishore has been learning the mridangam under the guidance of Guru Shri Gopi Lakshminarayanan and has accompanied performances for several music schools across the Bay Area. He has received awards at prestigious competitions including the Cleveland Aradhana, Papanasam Sivan Competition, and Saptami Competition. Last year, he had the privilege of completing his Mridangam Arangetram, accompanied by Shri Bharat Sundar on vocals, Kum. Sruti Sarathy on violin, and Shri Ajay Gopi on kanjira.

Beyond performing, Kishore is passionate about promoting Indian classical arts. He was previously a member of RagaN, a youth organization dedicated to sharing Indian art forms with the community, and now continues that mission as an active member of UC Berkeley's Laya organization.

In addition to mridangam, Kishore is also learning Carnatic vocal music under Guru Shri Kolkata Vijayaraghavan.

Kishore, is a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is pursuing Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences.

Niveda Balan (Vocal)

Niveda Balan has been studying Carnatic classical music for the past nine years under the guidance of Hari Devanath at Sri Paduka Academy. She has also trained in Bharatanatyam for the last ten years with Guru Snigdha Venkataramani of Laya Dhwani Academy of Performing Arts and successfully completed her dance arangetram on February 8, 2026.

Beyond her pursuits in music and dance, Niveda is actively involved in the Bay Area theater community and performs regularly in local productions.She and her friends co-founded a nonprofit organization called “Fruitful” and volunteer at local shelters. She is a 10th-grade student at Evergreen Valley High School.

Roopa Rajagopalan (Violin)

Roopa is a violin and vocal disciple of Smt. Lavanya Kothandaraman. She learns vocal music from Sri. Kaushik Lakshminarayanan. She has also been fortunate to learn from Sangita Kalanidhi Violinist Vidwan Sri. R.K. Shriramkumar on multiple occasions. Roopa is an incoming freshman at UC Berkeley.

Maanav Balan (Mridangam)

Maanav has been learning mridangam for the past four years under the tutelage of Sri Patri Satish Kumar. He was initiated into mridangam by Dr. Ramesh Srinivasan of Sarvalaghu Percussion Art Center and completed his mridangam arangetram in January 2022.  In addition to Mridangam, Maanav has been learning music for the last 11 years under the guidance of Sri. Hari Devanath at Sri Paduka Academy and completed his arangetram in June 2026. Maanav is an incoming freshman at University of California, Berkeley, where he plans to major in Neuroscience.

Vishnu Parthasarathy (Vocal)

Vishnu is a student of Sri Paduka Academy, learning from Sri Hari Devanath for the past 13 years. He had his Carnatic vocal arangetram earlier this summer on the 20th of June. He has participated and won competitions both locally and at Cleveland and has performed at Lotus Bay Area, CCC and SRFA. In addition to Hari, Vishnu has also had the opportunity to learn from his paramaguru Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan, Sri Vivek Sundararaman, Rupa Ramanathan, and Sashwat Mahalingam. 

This fall, Vishnu will begin studying Computer Science and Engineering at UCLA.

Prayag Barath (Mridangam)

Prayag Barath is a rising senior at Saint Francis HIgh School, Mountain View. He has been learning Mrudangam for the past 8 years from Vidwan Sri Chennai Thyagarajan. Prayag did his Mrudangam Arangetram in August 2025 accompanying Vidwan Sri Hari Devanath. He also has been learning carnatic vocal music from Sri Paduka Academy for the past 9 years. Prayag enjoys playing basketball, solving rubik’s cubes, and reading books.
